Is it really fair that you throw mountains of food away and there are people out there who don't know when their next meal is? I hate it when people say that life is not fair. It should be, especially with respect to fulfilling our basic needs. I'm not saying all people have to give up everything they have because there are others that don't have the same things. It's just so difficult for me to understand why while some people in the world can spend 10,000 on a plate of food, there are others starving. 
If it was up to me everyone would have enough food to survive. The children wouldn't have to suffer the way they sometimes do. They would have clothes on their backs and shelters over their heads.
